School of Frock: summer camp for young fashion prodigies
School of Frock, an intensive fashion camp for young fashion prodigies ages 10-17, comes to Tempe's fashion incubator this July. Best of all, your budding designer might get to go for free.
Young designers will learn to design, make patterns, sew and style their fashions in the two-week camp at FABRIC, 132 E, Sixth St., Tempe. Campers will have the opportunity to work in the fashion incubator where more than 180 fashion labels create their clothing lines. All supplies needed for camp will be provided.
Camp culminates with a fashion show of their fantastic designs. Students will learn about runway hair creation, makeup, modeling and more to put on the show.
One Tempe designer will get a camp scholarship. To win the scholarship, post a photo on Instagram of the camper doing something fashion-related with a description of why they would want to attend this camp. Tag #LabelHordeFashionCamp. and follow @labelhorde, @azapparelfoundation and @fabrictempe. One winner will be selected and notified by Instagram private message on July 2.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 9-20
