New program shares stories of how Tempe services improve our communities

Post Date:03/08/2018 8:00 AM

Numbers talk. The Tempe City Council initiated a program that measures progress toward Tempe City Council Strategic Priorities. These priorities are overarching goals that are important to our community, such as safe and secure communities, quality of life, sustainable development and more.

The City of Tempe wants to share our efforts to reach those goals and to explain why they are important with a new month program, Tempe Accelerates.

People are already welcome to visit to see a dashboard of our progress and download data. Now, we are inviting people to join us for Tempe Accelerates, a series of explanatory talks about why these goals are important, how they help the community, and what we can do to reach our targets more effectively. These sessions are data-driven and often involve collaboration from several city departments. Those attending can ask questions, provide ideas and make suggestions. Tempe Accelerates takes place in Tempe City Council Chambers, 31 E. Fifth St., Tempe. It is free and no RSVP is required.

You could be on TV! These sessions will air on Tempe 11 beginning in April. For more information, call Megan Hutchinson at 480 350-2905.
