Dance Tempe is an annual program created by Tempe Community Arts that brings together professional dance artists and student dancers. Three local professionals (Adrian Lobo, Allison Liedman and Megan Neese) were chosen through a panel selection process to fulfill residencies in all six Tempe Union High School District schools this Fall. The Resident Artists will teach a day of workshops to all class levels and set a piece of choreography at the schools they were selected for throughout the Fall semester. The residency culminates in a showcase performance on February 3rd at Tempe Center for the Arts, which features the premiere of the six Resident Artist pieces, an additional piece by each high school, and work by the Resident Artists’ professional companies.
