Free compost now available to Tempe residents

Need some compost right away? Now you don't need to wait until the next giveaway or Zero Waste Day. Tempe residents can pick up free compost at the Compost Yard. A self-serve pile is available 24/7 at 1001 N Rio Rd, Tempe, AZ 85281. Just west of Tempe Center for the Arts at the intersection of Rio Salado Parkway and Hardy Drive.  Please bring your own bags/containers and shovels. 

Or you can schedule an appointment at the Compost Yard, Monday-Friday, between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Please call 480-350-4311 to schedule an appointment. A current Tempe utility bill and identification are required. Please bring your own bag, truck or trailer. Staff will be on hand to assist with loading.
