As the city of Tempe continues to grow and redevelop, traffic has become a concern for many residents.  The development of the Streetscape and Transportation Enhancement Program (STEP) is an opportunity for the city to create a program that provides solutions to traffic issues and promotes safe conditions for motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians and residents on neighborhood streets.  It is a priority of the city of Tempe to provide an inclusive and broad-based process by which residents can initiate and be directly involved in traffic management.
