Newtown
Community Development Corporation, a non-profit partner in this
Initiative, offers free workshops, matched savings accounts (Individual
Development Accounts or IDAs), housing counseling and homebuyer
education to prepare first time homebuyers for homeownership. In
addition, Newtown has a Community Land Trust which makes homes much more
affordable for hard working families.
