Tempe Community Council Training Team
Connecting those in need with those who care

Tempe Community Council has been designated as an Official Charity & Training Program of the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘N Roll Arizona Marathon & ½ Marathon®!

TEAM TEMPE is a community-wide effort to raise money for human service needs in Tempe and the surrounding communities.  This is a fun way to get healthy and help those in need.

While training to run or walk a marathon or half-marathon race on January 18, 2009, you will have the opportunity to raise money to benefit the Tempe Community Foundation and establish a permanent legacy of caring for our community. These funds will provide a sustainable endowment for current and long-term human service needs. You have the chance to make an impact on those in our community most in need ~ children without a safe home ~ seniors struggling with illness ~ families in need of affordable housing ~ the hungry ~ the lonely. In return, we will provide you with methods and schedules on how to train properly, organize group training runs/walks (for all levels of ability), provide you with special team training & race day shirts, invite you to special pre-race training workshops, pre-race dinner, a post-race Victory party and other incentives and perks.

Call or e-mail Emma at 480.858.2307 or emma_bordner@tempe.gov for more information

You can participate in a training program, collect pledges to support local nonprofits plus have the chance to win prizes, free entry to the race and more!
