HELPING YOUTH SUCCEED THROUGH COLLABORATION

To promote community/school/parent relationships to encourage young people to stay in school and prepare for life.
News
  • CIS has opened the first Teen Resource Center in the Valley to support high school students in our community who are most in need.  One barrier which is keeping kids out of school is the lack of basic necessities.  In order to tackle this issue, CIS created the TRC.  TCC and CIS are proud to take action to support our children and ensure that they have every opportunity to pursue a successful future.
  • Volunteers are currently being sought to open the Teen Resource Center on additional days. Please contact Lynette Stonefeld at 480.858.2316 to donate time or any of the items listed above.
  • DESIGN ME AND WIN!  We need a logo, so show us what you've got!  CIS is looking to create a logo to "Stay Away from Alcohol and Drugs."  If you are between 6th and 12th grade and win, you could get an iPOD, a digital camera, movie tickets, and other great prizes!
Activities

CIS serves as a broker of services to local public schools.  We assist with identifying the needs of individual schools and locate existing community resources to help address those needs.  Funds raised by the board are used to sponsor some of these services: Early Literacy, Counseling, Parent Outreach & Education, Pre-school Readiness, Health and Wellness, and Family Resource Centers.

Help Us Reach Our Goals:

  • Every young person will have the opportunity to finish school.

  • Young people will come to school ready to learn.

  • All schools will be perceived as a safe place by the students, teachers, staff, parents, and community members.
