Street
Sweeping
The City of Tempe is
divided into four geographical areas. These areas
correspond to four sweeping routes that have been developed by
our Street Sweeper Operators. The goal of our Street sweeping
program is to sweep all residential streets once a month, in
coordination with the City's uncontained/bulky item collection
program. Arterial
streets are swept every eight to twelve working days.
Helpful Tips
- Your street will be swept approximately once every four
weeks;
- Note: Week 1 begins the first Monday of every month;
- To locate both the week of the month and day of the week
your neighborhood street will be swept, please refer to our
Street Sweeping Schedule Map ;
- To find the exact date your street will be swept, refer to our
Street Sweeping Weekly Schedule

- Please sweep up small amounts of debris on your sidewalk
or in the street/gutter immediately adjacent to your home as
necessary; No on-call sweeping requests please;
- Please keep all obstructions and vehicles out of the
street sweeping path on your sweeping day.
Resident participation has greatly contributed to keeping
