Residents may dump once a month up to 2,000 pounds at no charge. The city will pay for an amount up to one ton, amounts greater than one ton or any additional dumps will be paid by resident at the gate rate. The facility to use is:  

The only acceptable proof of residency for access to the Transfer Station by Tempe residents is a driver's license showing a Tempe address and a current city of Tempe water bill.
 

• Notes authorizing somebody else to dump on your behalf are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

• Landscapers, contractors, businesses, and Guadalupe residents are not able to utilize this free dump privilege. NO exceptions.

The following items are not accepted at the Sky Harbor Regional Transfer Station:  

• Hazardous Waste
• Batteries
• Liquid Waste
• Enclosed Containers
• Tires
• Enclosed Barrels
• Car Bodies
• Large Demolition Debris

Tempe residents also have other options for dumping their refuse, including household hazardous waste.
