Procurement Office Assignments
The procurement office
is supported by 7 employees who are responsible for contracting for all external
resources required throughout the City (with the exception of
architectural/engineering and construction services that are handled by
Engineering). The division has four procurement officers and three procurement
associates that have been assigned as “teams” to support a select group of City
departments.

The Central Services
Administrator for the City of Tempe is responsible for the operation of the
Procurement Office to include supervision of day to day purchasing functions and
surplus property disposal. Specific assignments include buying and contracting
duties for Police, City Manager/Mayor, City Clerk, and Internal Audit. General
commodity assignments include business outreach to attract and register
suppliers and surplus property review.
