As a member of the Tempe Aquatics Team you will:

• Take a Red Cross lifeguard training class. Classes are available at the following facilities: 
  Arizona State University
  City of Mesa Parks & Recreation
  City of Chandler Parks & Recreation
   

• Note: you must be able to swim 300 yards continuously (100 yds freestyle, 100 yds breaststroke & 100 yds freestyle or breaststroke) and retrieve a 10 pound brick from 7ft of water and swim 20 yards with the brick.

• After enrolling in a class, or if you already have the proper certification fill out an application.

• Drop off your completed application at the Kiwanis Park Recreation Center, or mail it to:

• Applicants that are chosen for an interview will participate in an oral interview and skills test.
