The Written Test is a
comprehensive, entry-level, law enforcement examination that
measures memory, analytical and logical thinking
ability, problem solving and other functions critical to
success as a law enforcement officer. There is no
study guide for this test, however, you may find it
useful to study material on the Internet (see links
below) or from resource books related to entry-level law
enforcement testing. The test will take
approximately three (3) hours to complete, so please plan
accordingly. Tests will be scored before you leave
for the day and you will be notified of whether or not
you passed the Written Test. In order to pass the
Written Test, you must achieve a minimum score of 68.
Applicants who pass the Written Test will be placed on
an eligibility list for one year and are invited to take the
Physical Agility Evaluation. Applicants who fail the
Written Test may re-take the test the next time it is
offered.

There is no requirement to pre-register for the written
exam. Please bring the completed Employment Application with a photo ID
and completed Recruit Applicant background Questionaire to the written
examination. |
