|Selective Enforcement Motorcycle Squad|

The Selective Enforcement Motorcycle Squad (SEMS) is a unit that addresses neighborhood traffic safety concerns in conjunction with the City of Tempe Transportation Division and City of Tempe Neighborhood Office.

The SEMS officers address neighborhood traffic complaints to assist residents in improving the quality of life in neighborhoods with respect to traffic safety. The primary technique the SEMS unit will use to accomplish its goal of helping to reduce traffic problems within neighborhoods, is traffic enforcement. This enforcement will typically be one or more motorcycle officers monitoring the traffic, and writing citations for traffic violations.
