On Sunday July 20, 2008 at 6:35 a.m., a white male, later identified as Graham Bussi Gravely, unlawfully entered a residence in the 6500 block of S. Cole Dr, Tempe.  Gravely demanded property from the 73 year old victim, which included the victim’s debit card.  The victim complied with Gravely’s demands, however, she was sexually assaulted in the process.  The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The Tempe Police Department immediately partnered with the Mesa Police Department, Silent Witness, the FBI,  and the United States Marshal Service to find this dangerous suspect.  After DNA evidence identified Gravely as the suspect, it only took authorities a short amount of time to locate him in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.  Gravely was then taken into custody by Mexican Officials on Saturday, August 2, 2008 and extradited back to Tempe to face charges of Burglary (Felony 3) and Sexual Assault (Felony 2).
