Saturday 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Tempe Public Library will remain open 7 days per week to better serve the community. New operating hours allow for programs designed for families with young children in the mornings and services for students and commuters in the evenings.
Online services will continue to be available 24/7 for downloading e-Books and audio books, researching databases, renewing borrowed materials and placing items on hold. Bilingual online tutoring help is also available from 3 - 10 p.m. daily.
On June 10, the City Council approved the 2010-11 operating budget, which addressed a $33.7 million deficit in the city’s General Fund as a result of expected lower sales tax revenues. A reduction in library operating hours from the current 70.5 to 56 was one of many changes citywide that will take effect fiscal year 2010-2011 in order for the city to balance its budget.
