CITY OF TEMPE TO ASSIST RESIDENTS OF SUNSET/RIVERSIDE NEIGHBORHOOD WITH
STORM CLEAN-UP
August 29, 2008
Since last night, City of Tempe employees have been working tirelessly
to clean-up and restore municipal services to residents. Though several
neighborhoods sustained significant storm related damage, the hardest
hit area was the Riverside/Sunset neighborhood which is located in the
area between Linden Lane and Farmer Avenue to the east, and University
Drive to Rio Salado Parkway to the north.
In order to assist residents residing in the Riverside/Sunset
neighborhood, the City of Tempe has scheduled a “Special Storm Related
Bulk Debris Pick-up” to be held on Saturday, August 30th from 6 am to
1:30 pm.
During this special collection operation, city crews with our Public
Works Department will be removing storm related debris from the public
right of ways within the affected areas (Linden Lane and Farmer Avenue
to the east, and University Drive to Rio Salado Parkway to the north).
The crews will be equipped with collection vehicles and bob-cats to
assist with the removal of debris.
To ensure that the pick-up process is efficient and effective as
possible, residents are encouraged to place bulk storm debris as close
to street curb as possible.
If you have any questions or need additional information about the
“Special Storm Related Bulk Debris Pick-up” please contact Deputy Public
Works Manager John Osgood at 480-350-8949.
