Tomorrow's Historic Buildings

Ranch style house in Tempe
In most cases a structure must be at least fifty years old to qualify for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. At this time, buildings portraying some of the more modern architectural styles such as Art Moderne and International, and the first Ranch style houses built in the 1940s may soon be considered historic.

Some of Tempe's youngest historic buildings include:

HPS-140 Grady Gammage Auditorium Mill & Apache (Arizona State University campus)
HPS-186 Watson's Flowers 2525 W. Main (Mesa-Tempe border)
HPS-246 Science/Agriculture Building Arizona State University campus
HPS-339 Gov. Howard Pyle House 1120 S. Ash
