CONTENT: Photographic prints and slides, and related documentation, 1983; final report, 1985.

ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY: In 1983 and 1984, the Tempe Community Development Department sponsored a cultural resource evaluation and data recovery program dealing with several city-owned properties in downtown Tempe that were within a proposed redevelopment district. Archaeological Research Services, Inc., was awarded the contract to perform this testing and evaluation project in April of 1983. Historic archaeological features were identified and documented. A major part of this project and its final study were the photographic prints, slides and negatives that documented the archaeological field work. The final report, entitled "An Archaeological and Historic Evaluation of Proposed Redevelopment Parcels on Block 50, 53, and 59, Tempe, Arizona," was prepared by Lyle M. Stone and James E. Ayres in June of 1985, and was published by Archaeological Research Services, Inc., 2124 South Mill Avenue, Tempe, Arizona, 85281.
