The house may have been built for a Mrs. Wilkie by Tempe contractor Leonard Carr, who
built the Tempe Beach complex and stadium in the 1930s. Little historic information is
available at this time.
This house represents one of a handful of Pueblo Revival style buildings in Tempe.
Character-defining details include the box-like massing, stucco finish, and wood vigas. It
provides a positive contribution to the historic character of the neighborhood.
