This one-and-a-half-story rectangular frame house with clapboard siding was built by
Benjamin H. Scudder. Scudder was a professor at the Tempe Normal School in the early
1900s. He invested in real estate, and built many inexpensive homes in Tempe between 1900
and 1930. This house was demolished in 1983.
