Schultz and Franklin have just closed a sale with C. A. Saylor, of Morrill, Kansas, for the
west 1/2 of Sec. 7, T1S, R5E, 320 acres for $9,600; all of which is in alfalfa and under fence.
Mr. Saylor's intentions are to locate his entire family upon the land. He took a bond on the
property some months ago, moved out his entire family about 60 days ago, and today has
planted outside of the land by them purchased, over 800 acres in grain.

C. A. Taylor has let the contract to Chas. Murphy, for a modern residence to be built on his
property in the Gage Addition. The estimated cost is in the neighborhood of $3,000.

C. A. Saylor died at his home in the Gage Addition after an illness more than 2 years. He
was a native of Pennsylvania - 72 years old. He went to Kansas as young man, and moved
here from Sabetha Kansas, in the early 1890s. He lived on a ranch several miles southeast of
Tempe until poor health caused his retirement a few years ago. He held many town positions,
and was recently a member of Board of the Grammar School, which he resigned 2 mos.

C. Olson Saylor, Tempe
Funeral services for C. Olson Saylor, 69, a Tempe resident since 1892, will be at
10:30 a.m. tomorrow in Carr Mortuary.
Mr. Saylor died Sunday in Mesa Southside District Hospital. A native of Moriel, Kansas, he
had been a farmer and real estate agent. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors are his wife, Regina W, a daughter, Mrs. Robert Bertlesen, a brother, Ray, and a
sister, Mrs. H. O. Carr, all of Tempe; a son, William M., of Casa Grande; another sister,
Mrs. Mary Bolton, of Berkeley, California, and a grandchild.
Burial will be in Double Butte Cemetery here.
