or use this online form
to let us know what you would like to see the Library to purchase.
Collection Management is responsible for providing a wide range of print and nonprint
materials for library users of all ages and backgrounds. This is accomplished through
careful selection, acquiring, processing, and ongoing maintenance for the public's use, as
described in our Collection Development Policy and in our Middle School and Young Adult Collection and Programming
Guidelines.
We are glad to consider your recommendations of books and
other materials you would like the library to acquire. Please let us know if there is
something you'd like!
Donations
Donated materials may either be left on the Library's back loading dock (24 hours a
day), or be taken to the Check Out Desk when the library is open. (A receipt may be
obtained at the Check Out Desk.) Also, the
Friends of the Tempe
Public Library maintain drop boxes for donated materials at various sites around the
city. If any donated material is not needed by the Library, it is then given to the
Friends of the Tempe Public Library to sell, and the money is used to fund special needs
for the Library.
We also accept donations in memory of
someone, or in celebration of a special event. The books are affixed with a bookplate, and
letters are also sent to the family members. Please contact Kim Garza at (480) 350-5557
for further information.
