First-time users, please read the Library's Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources and the Internet.

Computers

  • Computer Access:  Public access computers are available in the Computer Access Center that provide access to the Internet, basic Microsoft Office programs, and electronic reference and research databases.  A library card in good standing is required to sign up for a computer.  Library patrons may use a computer twice a day, for one hour, each session.
  • Printing:  Printing from a library computer is available for twenty cents per page.
  • Research:  Many research databases are available at library computers and some are available for use from computers located outside the library.  Using these resources from outside the library may require you to enter your Tempe Public Library card number.
  • Wireless Access:  Click here to read about wireless Internet access in the library.

    • Newspapers - Use this link to find out what we have.
    • Circulating Periodicals - Back issues of many magazines may be checked out for 2 weeks.  At the Periodicals window request up to 5 back issues of titles from the Circulating Periodicals list.
  • Articles Online:  Click here to find articles online.  Our periodicals collection extends far beyond the walls of our library.  If you are outside the Library, you will need a Tempe Public Library card and PIN.
