About the Library :
Renovation ProjectRenovation Project - Concepts
The vision of this project is to create an extraordinary library that will
delight and amaze users of all ages and interest. The architects, along with
staff input, have selected colors of a desert oasis that we hope will add a
delightful and pleasing environment for our users. Along with the décor, we hope
the increase of natural lighting will be beneficial to those that stroll
throughout our library.

Lower Level
Youth
Library
One of the main goals of the renovation is to expand the Youth Library. We
see thousands of children, parents, and families in here each month. Our goal is
to have a larger space for kids to explore and learn. We are hoping to wow the
kids with a fun and exploratory entry way into our Youth library.
Some of the design concepts include colorful and comfortable kid-friendly
furniture and colorful walls. There will be an interactive play area and a
family reading space. Our new storytime room will be bigger and better and house
the latest technology to engage the children in storytimes and activities.
The Youth library will also have more computers and a new Family Computing
space so adults can get their work done with their little ones close by.
Teen Center
The Teens will have a new and enclosed study and/or program space just for
themselves with fun colors, computers, the latest equipment for movie viewing
and gaming, and counter style seating.
Program Rooms
Two program rooms with state of the art technology capabilities will be
available for library programs and city wide activities.
