Tempe Town Lake: 10 Years of Progress

Tempe Town Lake celebrates its tenth birthday this year,
and the City of Tempe is hosting a year-long party.
Transformed from a barren riverbottom into a leading
economic engine for Arizona, Tempe Town Lake has become a success
environmentally, economically, and culturally. Town Lake sees about 2.7 million
people each year and generates millions of dollars through special events,
business attraction and land development. It has won dozens of awards for
everything from a special event venue to a hot real estate intersection.
