Intricately bound together are inspiration and creation, and so Art and Nature both abide in beauty at Tempe Town Lake. Several pieces of fine art withstand the elements of sun, wind, rain and humans. These sculptures and plaques are a tribute to the river that once ran here, to the people who once thrived on it, to the creation of the Lake and to the people who cherish the water here today.

HISTORY
Tempe Town Lake might be only ten years old, but planning the Rio Salado Project took more than 30 years. The history of this area goes back centuries.

FINANCE
The success of Town Lake took engineering ingenuity, dozens of public and private partnerships, and a plan  to pay not only for the construction of the lake, but its maintenance. Finding water to fill and keep Town Lake full was a priority, too. Information on how Town Lake works can be found here:
