ART
Intricately bound
together are inspiration and creation, and so Art and Nature both abide
in beauty at Tempe Town Lake. Several pieces of fine art withstand the
elements of sun, wind, rain and humans.
These sculptures and plaques are a tribute
to the river that once ran here, to the people who once thrived on it,
to the creation of the Lake and to the people who cherish the water here
today.

HISTORY
Tempe Town Lake might only be eight years old, but
planning the Rio Salado Project took more than 30 years. The history of this
area goes back centuries.

FINANCE
The success of Town Lake took engineering
ingenuity, dozens of public and private partnerships, and a plan to pay
not only for the construction of the lake, but its maintenance. Finding water to
fill and keep Town Lake full was a priority, too. Information on how Town Lake
