More than 100 days of
special events happen at Town Lake. Here are just a few:
Cardboard Boat Regatta - Watch wacky sailors sail their recyclable crafts on a
short course before they disintegrate.
IRONMAN ARIZONA - The world's finest athletes swim 2.4 miles, bike 112
miles and run a full marathon in less than 17 hours.
PF CHANG'S ROCK-N-ROLL MARATHON - Run or walk a full or
half-marathon course while being cheered on by thousands of spectators and at
least one rock band each mile.
FOURTH OF JULY - Arizona's largest lakeside community festival and fireworks
display.
INSIGHT BOWL & BLOCK PARTY - College football at its best with a
preceding New Year's Eve party for 100,000 fans.
MUSIC AT THE MARINA - Free Sunday music series at Town Lake Marina. Bring
a picnic for a great time at the park.
CIRCLE K TEMPE MUSIC FESTIVAL -Three
stages, 30 bands, two days - the hottest
bands in the nation play this festival. Fender Guitar craftsmen build
instruments on site.
WAY OUT WEST OKTOBERFEST - It's western. It's German. It's three-days of
fun benefiting the Tempe Sister Cities program. |
