Description:
The
City of Tempe offers adult indoor volleyball leagues and tournaments in 6-person
women's or co-rec leisure and competitive formats.
Women's - for competitive women's teams, games are played on Tuesday
evenings, game times from 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm, 9:30pm.
Co-Rec A
- for advanced recreational co-rec teams, games
are played on Wednesday evenings, game times from 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30, 9:30pm.
Co-Rec B - for intermediate recreational co-rec teams,
games are played on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, game times from 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm,
9:30pm.

Co-Rec B Sunday - for intermediate recreational co-rec teams,
games are played on Sunday afternoon, game times from 11:30am, 12:30pm,
1:30pm,
2:30pm.
The Recreation
Division reserves the right to screen all registered teams to ensure appropriate
ability levels. If found in an inappropriate ability level the team will be
placed in the correct level if space is available.
Registration Information:
Teams can register in person at Kiwanis Recreation Center or online at
http://pkreconline.tempe.gov . The team
captain for Tuesday/Wednesday leagues must submit registration form with roster and payment for in person
registration or email roster to
Sara_Thompson@tempe.gov for online registration. For
all Sunday leagues please email
Sara Thompson. All teams will be required to have complete roster
information (team members' full names, complete addresses and telephone numbers)
on file with KRC prior to playing scheduled games.
If the league is full the
team will be wait-listed. Individual players looking for a team are invited to
put their name on a player
pool list, however, placement is not guaranteed.
Entry
Fee: $275
Once the team registers, NO REFUNDS are
available unless the league is canceled.

Resident vs.
Non-resident:
Resident teams have 75% of their team's roster composed of residents of the City
of Tempe. Resident teams also qualify for early registration. (Business addresses are NOT acceptable)
League
Format:
Teams play a 7 week season followed by a post season tournament
(except for Sunday Co-Rec B Leagues).
