How to Apply

Applications are accepted for open positions only.  An official City of Tempe application is required for each position for which you are applying.  Some positions also require supplemental questionnaires or forms to be submitted with your application.  Incomplete application or supplemental forms will result in being disqualified from further consideration. 

Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of application or supplemental questionnaires.

Applications can be submitted in the following ways:

  • By Mail.
     
  • Walk In - Applications are accepted between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
     
  • 24 Hour Drop Box -  Applications must be received by the posted closing date by 5:00 p.m.  The drop box is located on the outside of the Human Resources building on 6th Street.
