The Sponsorship Review Committee makes recommendations to the Tempe Convention and Visitors Bureau (TCVB) Board of Directors and the City Council concerning City sponsorships, types of sponsorships and degrees of sponsorship for the majority of requests received by the City on an annual basis for both traditionally sponsored events and for new requests; and makes funding and services decisions concerning new events from monies previously appropriated by the City Council and the TCVB Board of Directors. (City Code Chapter 2, Art. V, Div. 4)
The Tempe Sponsorship Review Committee has seven (7) members. The members are composed of three members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of City Council; three members appointed by the TCVB Board of Directors; one member jointly appointed by the Mayor with City Council approval and the TCVB Board of Directors.
