The Double Butte Cemetery Advisory Committee assists and advises the City Council, through the Public Works Department, in the establishment of essential policies, rules and regulations relating to the planning, acquisition, disposition, operation, use, care, maintenance, design and construction of cemetery facilities owned, leased or otherwise acquired by the City and to assist and advise City Council in establishing priorities at budget time for those items other than administrative functions relating to the cemetery. (City Code, Chapter 2, Art. V, Div. 13)
The Double Butte Cemetery Advisory Committee is composed of nine (9) members. The members of the Committee shall be Tempe residents and terms of service are for three years. The Board usually meets on the third Wednesday of the month, at the Tempe Public Library.
