Tempe utilizes several unique public spaces to showcase numerous exhibitions featuring professional and student artists. The Tempe Cultural Services Division develops and manages the city’s visual and performing art programs and services. The division is part of the Community Services Department which is dedicated to serving the public and improving the quality of life for residents.

Galleries at the Tempe Public Library, provide art encounters that broaden the mind, relate to multiple age groups and create interest in a variety of fields and subjects. Exhibitions are meant to inspire thought, enjoyment and discussion.

United States Post Office windows
500 S. Mill Ave. (5th Street and Mill Avenue)
This space, located in the heart of downtown Tempe, highlights local artists working in a variety of media and themes. Special emphasis is placed on work that is fun, eye catching and unusual. Artwork appears in the windows on the north and east side of the building.

Vihel Activity Center

The gallery at the Vihel Activity Center provides local artists an opportunity to display artwork and reach out to the Arizona community. The Vihel Center is the location for a variety of year-round art classes for children and adults in dance, music, theater and visual arts.
