TEMPE, Ariz. – The City of Tempe’s Free Art Friday program returns for a brand new year of activities, complete with arts, crafts and dancing activities for the beginning of 2013. Bring your little ones for the first Free Art Friday of the New Year from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18 at the Edna Vihel Center, 3340 S. Rural Rd.

Free Art Friday is a free, family interactive art series that gives preschoolers and caregivers the opportunity to create art, learn about music and movement and have a great time! This program features different art projects each month that explore various themes. In January, the theme is “Happy New Year, Uncle Sam!”

Spring 2013 Free Art Fridays:

February 15: February is for Friends
March 15: St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
April 19: Goin’ to the Zoo
May 17: Dr. Seuss Day

Registration is not required for these free, leisurely mornings of activities. All events are held from 9:30 – 11:30 at the Edna Vihel Center.
