Last night, March 25, 2013 Tempe Police arrested 21 year old Andrew Kent, an ASU student for two counts of Aggravated Assault and two counts of Endangerment. On Saturday, March 23rd just after midnight there was a large party, where a 17 year old female who was visiting ASU from California and an 18 year old female ASU student had been invited. While at the party Andrew Kent threw a bottle of liquor into a large bon fire, which exploded catching both the 17 year old victim and the 18 year old victim on fire.

The 17 year old victim sustained very serious burns to both of her legs and the 18 year old victim sustained very serious burns from the back of her shoulder to the back of her legs. After being set on fire the 17 year old immediately rolled on the ground and with the assistance of other students in attendance the flames were put out. The 18 year old victim also quickly put out the flames on her body with the assistance of other students present. The 17 year old victim was then escorted out of the party and down the street to await paramedics. The 18 year old victim left the party without getting treatment at that time and went to get initial treatment from her father who is a firefighter.

Kent was transported and booked into the Maricopa County Jail and held to see a judge.
