Showcase IIISteven Fontenot, of Scottsdale, was born in a desert town by Havasu Lake and grew up in “good ol’ Bullhead City where the summers are sun-baked.” He has loved music and writing for as long as he can remember and picked up a guitar at age 20. He and three friends started the rock band “Tripsearch” and played shows at the likes of Big Fish Pub, On the Rocks and The Green Room. After the group dissolved, Steven picked up an acoustic guitar and his songwriting style began evolving. He soon added vocal lessons from a Seth Riggs instructional CD and, after what he describes as a “long time,” he has become a confident songwriter. Steven holds songwriting and music close to his heart, performing songs “to cry to, to laugh at, to love with…songs carry emotions that words can sometimes not explain.” By day, Steven works in the travel industry, selling all-inclusive Vacations and Cruises for Mill Avenue Travel. View: "Profile"    "Where are You Tonight?"     "My Summer Sun"     "Growin' & Growin'"

Showcase IIIHerman Snell of the “Jackson (Miss.) Free Press” calls Mississippi native Teneia Sanders, “A cross between Ani DiFranco and Aretha Franklin… .” Her angelic voice, unique guitar rhythms and moving lyrics have helped to solidify her growing reputation as a truly gifted artist, and her dedication is as strong as her music. One of Teneia’s most recent songs, “Stand,” earned placement in the HBO documentary “Prom Night in Mississippi,” featuring Morgan Freeman. Her first CD, “Soul Catcher” has been described as “eclectic as she is,” by Velocity Magazine, and was featured by CDBaby.com as an Album of the Week in 2007. Teneia is the winner of the 2009 National Women’s Music Festival’s “Discovers New Talent Competition,” and her cover of the late Tim Buckley’s “Once I was” is featured on the Teach for America Compilation Album (along with national acts Neko Case and The Swell Season). She received a nomination by the Just Plain Folk Music Foundation for best original blues song, “I’m Over You.” Teneia’s folk and soul roots have been developing since age 10 when she started singing in her church choir. Since, she has fully embraced her tremendous vocal range, which is only exemplified through her remarkable sense of control. With the addition of her unique chord progressions, the Avondale resident’s music is a full-bodied experience. View: "Profile"    "Hard Times"    "Stand"    "Always a Bridesmaid"

Showcase IIIRobby Roberson, of Tempe, started playing guitar in the mid-sixties after hearing the Beatles sing, “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” He spent his first semester at college as a music major, but was never able to read music; so, he pursued a major in Biology and now works as a professor in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University. Throughout his education and professional career Robby continued to play music, but it was in 2007 when the passion for writing songs and performing in public came into focus once again. Now he plays regularly at local venues, benefits and music festivals and was selected as a finalist in the Singer/Song Writer Competition at this year’s Tucson Folk Festival. His music has an originality influenced by songs from America’s roots and contemporary folk-rock artists such as Stephen Stills and Ry Cooder. View: "Profile"    "Fairy Tale Song"    "One Day with You"    "Heaven or Hell "Brown Line
