Tempe is one of the lucky few to play host to Green Revolution, an eco-friendly, green-themed exhibition that engages visitors by addressing critical environmental issues concerning the local community. This version of Green Revolution is based on an exhibition originally created by the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry and its Black Creativity Council and is made available by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.

Mining for You: Clare Patey/Matthew Moore
Feb. 9-May 11
Clare Patey (London) and Matthew Moore (Phoenix) are collaborating on a project focusing on the endangered elements in the periodic table. Both artists have significant bodies of work exploring resilience and sustainability. From helium to tungsten, a number of the elements have limited quantities available for human use, and these quantities are getting smaller and smaller. Copper is a particular surprise to Arizonans as it plays a major role in the state's history and in the economic, environmental, social and cultural reality. Patey and Moore's exhibition will be a series of installations and events around the endangered elements and, specifically, copper.
