Green Revolution

This eco-friendly, green-themed exhibition comes from the Smithsonian and engages visitors by addressing critical environmental issues concerning the local community. "Green Revolution" is based on an exhibition originally created by the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, from which the TCA has been challenged to create a "Tempe" version. Tempe is working with local artists and organizations to create an interactive exhibition that combines the arts and sciences, teaching community members about "going green." Image by Julie Anand. Family Art Workshop: Lisa Sipe, Recycled Collage

Sipe will teach children and adults to make small collage paintings about the environment with recycled boxes, paper and crayon wax. Sipe is a professional graphic designer and fine artist specializing in encaustic wax paintings. She also is a hiker and fan of the outdoors and nature. Her work in the TCA's Green Revolution exhibition focuses on the Wallow Fires that burned through areas of Arizona and new Mexico, creating the largest wildfire in Arizona history.
