Applications are currently being accepted for the Adult and Teen Diversity Dialogue Program.
The Diversity Dialogue program is a series of meetings which will foster communty dialogue about diversity issues, cultural tolerance, inclusion and discrimination. The Diversity Dialogue program is a collaboration of the Tempe Human Relations Comission and the Tempe Diversity Office. It is designed to foster community dialogues in Tempe in which issues of diversity are discussed. Out of the dialogues will come a better understanding of self, community, and ways in which to improve the climate for diversity in Tempe.
Groups are led by trained volunteer facilitators. There are no formal lectures, the groups learn from one another's shared experiences. While the Adult and Teen groups meet on the same dates, they are held in separate rooms. We begin each week with free pizza prior to breaking into the smaller groups. Parents are encouraged to register, as this would be a great opportunity for them to experience the same program as their teens. 2013 marks the second year for the Teen program and the 15th year for the Adult program. All are welcome to experience this free program.
