The City of Tempe has two public pools, one splash playground and three neighborhood spray pads. Public pools incude the indoor wave pool at the Kiwanis Recreation Center and the outdoor pool at the Escalante Community Center. The splash playground is located at Tempe Beach Park and the neighborhood spray pads are located at Jaycee, Hudson and Esquer Parks.

Kiwanis Wave Pool:

The Kiwanis Wave Pool is a year round indoor heated pool featuring a lap pool with 6 lanes and zero depth entry. The Wave Pool is open during the Spring and Summer months offering 3' waves in varying patterns. The pool also features a 127 ft. long and 15 ft. tall double spiral Water Slide and splashdown pool.
The Wave Pool is located at: 6111 All-America Way in the Kiwanis Recreation Center.

Escalante pool is a summer season pool. It features a 6 lane lap pool; zero depth entry play pool with play equipment plus two slides. It is located at the Escalante recreation center at 2150 E Orange Street. Pool is located off of Price on Orange Street; half-way between Apache and University.

Tempe Splash Playground and Spray Pads
The Splash Playground at Tempe Beach Park
Hours: 10:00am-7:00pm (May: Saturday & Sunday only)
This one acre park features misting metal "clouds," thunderclaps and lightning, waterfalls, streams, spray cannons, and more. It teaches children how rainfall goes into the ocean or into the city water supply. Other activities include riding on toy whales and playing on a sandy beach. It is located at 80 West Rio Salado Parkway. Admission is free. Lifeguards are on duty.

Hours: 10:00am-7:00pm (Monday-Sunday)
Spray pads are conveniently located in the following parks:
Jaycee Park located near the Westside Community Center
Esquer Park just east of the Loop 101 and north of Apache Blvd.
Hudson Park south of Apache Blvd on Cedar Street between Rural & McClintock
