HOW IT WORKS!
On the first day of practice all students must report to the school playground. A completed registration form may be 1) dropped off at the school’s office, or 2) given directly to the coach, 3) register on line, or 4) dropped off at the Recreation Office @ 3500 S. Rural – SW corner or Southern & Rural – 2nd floor City Library.
During weeks 1 & 2 of the program, participants will learn the basics of the specific sport in a fun non-competitive atmosphere. Coaches will divide students into teams; 6th graders together, and 7th/ 8th graders together. For the final 5 weeks of the program participants will have one practice a week, and one games a week. Flag Football, on the other hand, will have practices during the week and games on Saturdays. Coaches will place players on teams to create the most equal teams possible. On occasion students may be placed on a particular team for discipline reasons. Students are not guaranteed to play with certain individuals.
Each player will be given a team jersey that must be worn for all games. It is important that each player come dressed for activity and display a good attitude at all times. All players are expected to participate in all the assigned activities, including all running and team drills and skills. Any player refusing to participate or displays any unsportsman-like conduct will be asked to leave the program.
THIS PROGRAM IS NO CUT – NO FEE
Students are responsible for transportation home after all practices and all games (students will be brought back to home school after away games).
All students (and their parents) participating must sign a code of conduct. Any student wishing to participate must attend one of the following TD#3 schools: Connolly; Fees; Gililland or Ward.
All participants must come dressed for activity.
ACAC is a partnership between City of Tempe Recreation and TD#3. Student will adhere to all TD#3 school policies and procedures while enrolled in any of the ACAC activities.
