HISTORIC PRESERVATION OFFICER

Joseph G. Nucci, Historic Preservation Officer

Joseph Nucci, Senior Planner, has been appointed the Tempe Historic Preservation Officer replacing Mark Vinson, now the City Architect. 
Joe has been with the City for 12 years in Development Services. 
He is a registered architect, an ASU graduate, and an accomplished carpenter.

Joe has a strong interest in Tempe history and was recently recognized by the Valley Forward Association and Mayor Neil Guiliano for his role in the Elias-Rodriguez rehabilitation project. Joe established the KARL system which is the City’s archival collection for redevelopment and long-range planning. 

Joe resides in Tempe with his wife and son and enjoys woodworking, reading and attending cultural events.
