The City of Tempe’s Gay/Straight Alliance has devoted itself to community projects throughout the valley to enrich diversity and awareness.   Since their inception last year, the GSA has partnered with Habitat for Humanity, participated in the Unity Walk, and mentored youth in the 1 n 10 organization.

Their most recent endeavor was a partnership with CEDA's Food Pantry for an employee food drive.  There were twelve collections distributed to various city departments for employees to contribute non-perishable food items.  The food drive was a great success and the GSA is now looking at coordinating  a water drive for the summer months.
