Emergency Medical Services

The goal of the Tempe Fire Department Emergency Medical Services is to save lives, reduce suffering and speed recovery from injury and illness by delivering basic life support (BLS/EMT) and advanced life support (ALS/Paramedic) pre-hospital care medical services, and transportation throughout the community.

Programs Include:

  • Quarterly training for EMTs and Medics
  • Research new medical equipment
  • Quality Assurance program for EMTs and Medics
  • CPR, AED, Blood Blorne Pathogens and First Aid

 

 

 

EMS Bike Teams

The bike team plays an important role they provide paramedic level medical services at special events where they can easily maneuver their bicycles through crowded streets.  Along with the use of EMS gator's, outfitted with medical supplies, they can respond easily though a large crowd to assist an injured or ill person.  They are used at all out large outdoor events like the 4th of July, MAMA Fest and the New Year's Eve Events.
