Fire Corps - Citizens Helping Fire & EMS

Fire Corps, one of the five federally developed Citizen Corps programs, was created to help coordinate volunteer activities to
make our communities safer, stronger and better prepared to respond to any emergency situation.  Through this local program
community members can offer their time and talents in assisting the Tempe Fire Department in the Community Emergency Response
Team (CERT) Program.

By joining CERT you can;

  • Help fellow citizens be better prepared for an emergency.
  • Allow emergency responders to focus on the most critical, life-threatening situations.
  • Contribute to the safety of your country, state and community.
  • Gain invaluable insights into our nation's emergency service agencies and how they work.
  • Increase the capability of your fire/emergency medical service departments.
