Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods (G.A.I.N.)

The Tempe Police Department is extending a special invitation for each block watch captain, neighborhood association, homeowners association, apartment and mobile home community to join our partnership on the evening of Saturday, October 22 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. to help fight crime.  G.A.I.N.—Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness in your neighborhood.

This is a great opportunity to get together with your neighbors at an event in your community.  Your event will allow the neighbors to get a chance to get to know each other better.  When neighbors know and care about each other, they feel more comfortable reporting crime and suspicious activity to the Tempe Police Department.  Did you know that the best crime prevention device is knowing your neighbor?

Anyone interested in holding a G.A.I.N. party is encouraged to attend the G.A.I.N. Organizational Kick-Off Meeting on Wednesday, September 21 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Tempe History Museum Community Room, 809 E. Southern Avenue.   Residents will hear from other party planners and city staff on ideas to help you plan your next event.  All residents will receive a free recycled canvas bag filled with  informational City materials.
