The Courage Awards will be presented March 7, 2011 during baseball spring training and is hosted by the Tempe Sports Authority Foundation. These prestigious honors are given to outstanding men and women in sports who have overcome physical challenges and hardship. The awards are presented by Tempe Sports Authority Foundation to courageous athletes who inspire young people nationwide. Proceeds from the event are used to fund community non-profit organizations and scholarship programs for minority students at Arizona's three state universities and selected community colleges. The Courage Awards is an evening filled with inspiring stories of courage.
