The City of Tempe is
offering the Toilet Rebate Program to reduce the amount of water used by its
customers. By replacing existing toilets with ultra-low - flow models not
exceeding 1.6 gallons per flush, a rebate of 50% of the purchase price (up to
$75.00) will be provided for each toilet replaced.
New construction is not
eligible for a rebate. Tenants who wish to participate should contact their
property owner/manager. Toilet rebates require the consent of the property owner
on the Toilet Rebate Application. It is the responsibility of the owner to
insure proper installation. The city recommends that the installation be
performed by a qualified plumber.
NOTE: All rebates
provided will be on a first come, first served basis, subject to availability of
funds.
NOTE: The
approved toilet list is just for Apartments, Hotels and Motels .... ANY
toilet sold now by Federal Law has to be low flow..... So for the
Residential Rebate any toilet will qualify for the Rebate.
