Pruning: Several features around the garden enhance the overall quality of the collection.  Proper pruning is essential to maintain a healthy and safe urban forest.  As our arboreal collection grows, so do the pruning requirements that must be maintained to preserve it.  Licensed and bonded contractors are periodically hired to demonstrate ANSI 300 pruning standards that can be seen through out the gardens trees.

Water Harvesting:  With limited precipitation every effort should be made to capture run off.  By constructing small circular berms and swales that catch and divert rain run off water can be maximized for irrigation purposes.
