The Code Compliance Division is
responsible for the enforcement of a variety of municipal codes and
ordinances which were created to promote the health,
safety, and welfare of our citizens.
The
Nuisance and
Property Enhancement includes:

The
Rental Housing Code
ensures that our rental housing remains free of deteriorated and slum-like
conditions. The code was not designed to settle
landlord-tenant disputes.

The
Zoning Ordinance
establishes procedures for obtaining use permits and requesting variances from
the code provisions. Some of the more common complaints include:

The
Noise Ordinance
covers
different sources of noise. Some of the more common
complaints that we investigate include complaints of
excessive noise generated from air conditioners, machinery, construction
equipment and activity.
